It’s Nice That
At the very forefront of creative design, art and inspiration, It's Nice That's mission is to champion great creativity. They do so by publicising exciting practitioners on their website and in their quarterly magazine, as well as curating exhibitions and series of talks to generate conversations between themselves, their audience and the wider cultural community.
It's Nice That with Michael Crowe and Sophy Hollington
“The world's most wonderful 'things' are usually bi-products of collaboration, even if one person can lay greater claim to an object's creation than others. With this in mind – and because we at It's Nice That prefer to work like this anyhow – we collaborated on creating our reactions with two very talented people.
Writer Michael Crowe responded to our call for help with witty responses to the way our chosen items look. His flash fictions disregard the objects' real-life contexts, and instead provide them with alternative histories.
Illustrator Sophy Hollington was on hand to present the objects visually. Without her input, Freddie Robins' Hand of Good, Hand of God probably wouldn't have been waving as affectionately as it is. And El Ultimo Grito's Miss Ramirez Chair definitely wouldn't have looked so much fun.
Michael and Sophy are the heroes of our reaction. And the three objects themselves of course – wonderful things.”
